Hey All,
Well after 3yrs of driving around on a buggered center-bearing, I bought a new one today
When I undid it all, the housing an the rubber fell of from the tailshaft, however, the bearing stayed on. It would be ok if I just grabbed it with a pair of multi's or something an pulled/hit ...

I would take back to him.....but when carb stuffed up first time was after he tuned it....then said it wasnt the carb had to be something else. Apart from that he was good. When was running, it was great!!!

eh, I dont know............maybe they test it on everything??
I know that some ppl have said that with the bigger tyres that they dont sit properly in some dyno's hence not giving accurate readings...I could be wrong.

Well, I just bought a new Carb...or atleast another one. My last one was a 600 Holley...but the part number on it wasnt 1850 or whatever....it was goin fine, but then gave me troubles as I had earlier posted...after numerous attempts at fixing it and failing...I got a new one.

Dont get me wrong...it does sound like air in system!!!
But I have bled it twice now....and used almost a bottle of brake fluid and unless the bubbles are hiding else where I got no clue.
Will keep soldiering on then....

Alrighty...found out why clutch had been playing up...when I 'remoulded' the metal line I accidently njicked it and had small leak occuring.
So I got a new line made up and also replaced the slave cylinder at the sametime.
Now when I depress the clutch pedal I notice it is fairly soft---but ...

X-Cabs are the way to go. The extra foot or so of room behind is a big bonus. Especially if can get the model with the sliding rear window...esky in the back and just reach through and grab a coldy

Not that it's difficult for a carb car considering no computer

What's more, is that it passed first time
Have changed fluid probably 3mths ago when replaced Clutch master. Am going to try wrapping exhaust.

How and where do I get heat shields?? Exhaust shops?? How much room is required for one to be installed?? I have maybe an 1" and a bit of space between the clyinder and e-pipe.

Does anyone have the problem with their exhaust (v6 or v8 or 4cyl with pipe near cylinder) heating up their slave cylinders??
Once I have been driving for awhile, it is difficult for me to go from neautral to 1st and from 2nd down to 1st due to the exhaust heat boiling my fluid and hence reducing ...
