bigger mass = takes longer to stop

Thats just my reasoning :) I know i get better economy fully loaded on my way up to Fraser, maybe I drive slower beacuse I am more relaxed, being on holidays and all :)

To be more accurate, theres more low RPM (sub 1000) torque without the turbo. This is when I notice it the most. When you put more load in you have more forward momentum which is better against wind resistance. I do the maths every time I fill up and I've always gotten excellent economy with a full ...

On a n/a 2H you should get better economy with more load. I found I got under 11l/100k's with a full load and 12-13 without. I have a turbo now I get 13.3l/100k's and I drive faster and overtake where I wouldn't previously. Unsure if it will be more economical with a full load now as I've lost ...

I didn't like the kit so I got the parts separate. Got pro comp shocks and anti inversion greasable shackles and the medium springs. My OME's eventually settled a little, anti inversion shackles are about a cm longer too :) I'd go back and try to get your shackles swapped over. I wouldn't mind ...

As long as all your meat is cryo'd you dont need to freeze it anyway, I go away for up to 2 weeks. Any good butcher does this for free, I even get snags cryo'd. I usually freeze a good sized roast as well and leave it in the bottom and I can get 3-4 days without driving on a full 90Ah deep cycle ...

My ARB kit peaks around 8psi in the factory configuration. Does me fine. EGT's get over 400 with a bit of load up inclines the highway doing 110, I guess it'd point more towards 500 if the hill was kinda big and I was towing more, which would be enough EGT for me :) Do a search for Carts' 60 it's ...

I put a deep cycle 90Ah caravan battery in my second tray and it has its own circuit/fusebox that feeds some plugs/fridge at the back and the uhf. Off the shelf relay between it and the alternator means it is easy to fix and there is no mystery to any system if something plays up. Get up to 3 days ...

I'd be cautious running 10-15psi on a 2H without an intercooler and pyro. If you fuel that up it'll possibly die. I'm running 8psi at peak (no intercooler) and I see EGT's on inclined highways or up the beach in soft sand get just over 400, If I tried that up a mountain with a trailer I'm sure I'd ...

I used to get around 11.5/100 but it now 12.5 with the turbo (I overtake lots more now and stay on the speed limit of 110) where i used to float between 95-105 and need run ups to get around slow vehicles.

Around town I'm getting 15 but I drive a bit more aggressively with the turbo.

Lance services my 60, installed my turbo recently, and has been very patient with me leaving a gearbox laying around his workshop for the last 2 months :) which reminds me I better sort that out asap!

I've recommended him to a few mates who are also very happy.

This thread is becoming entertaining. The question was in relation to a SWB GQ. It's all been said before. The best tyre depends on; a) your vechicle (size, suspension, power) b) how much crap you packed c) how you drive it (if you dont spin muddies you wont dig in, if you back off and reverse out ...
