I'd recommend the Old Man Emus. My ranchos have a nice ride, but seem kind og junky. The fronts can be stock length, but you may want to run something longer in the rear. I run about 4" of lift (OME 912s + 2.5" sapcer for a dodge ram truck) in the back, but I've been please w/ the length of the ...

Have you considered a group buy on teralows? Have indy, darlington, or sams ship 4 or 5 sets from US. Seriously, I paid $399US for mine. They are on e-bay for $410US. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7943041809&category=46104 with worldwide shipping.

Wow that is steep. We pay $399 for the gears via www.samsoffroad.com. Install isn't horrible, but it is quite involved. You must remove the xfr case on an auto tranny or installon vehivle on a 5spd. Install will take 8-10 houtrs.

The teralows are truly awesome. I have a 5 speed, so they were a huge help with the steep terrain that we have in Tennessee. Around here, I would consider them a must have on a manual tranny.

I understand. I'd prefer to have an selectable in the back as well., but I can't justify the price. Now that I have a front lockright, I find myself running in 2 low (hubs unlocked) a lot more. I feel like I "need" a rear locker of some sort. Was actually looking at running a spool for a while. Mark

In size, how do they compare to the Trooper? The Equinox looks like it is a smaller softroader. Trailblazer looks bigger but lower than Trooper. Neither look like a genuine offroader. Basically, they suck. They are about a foot longer in wheelbase. They sit a couple of inches lower. The inline 6 ...

No body lift, but I do have a 4" lift in rear and front t-bars adjsuted 3". Also, I'm runnning 15x7 amgo rims that have reduced backs spacing (4" vs 5.5" for trooper 16x7 rims). I have found an area where tires rub. During full lockup of steering, tires rub bottom of fender well near firewall. I ...

New tires on the troop

Well, they are on. During street driving, there is absolutley no rubbing. I tried to stuff tires a bit on a pile of concrete, but did not get much articulation. Anyway, I can say that 33x12.5/15 mounted on honeycombs fit fine for street travel. I cannot comment on tire wear or trail rubbing. http ...
