Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

I had a poke around yesterday and I believe its the clutch cable rubbing on the rubber ferrel in the firewall. I'm just gonna harden up and deal with it I too though this was the problem, I aplied grease to it awhile ago to no avail..... Read my solutions and I am sure you will stop it dead!. 4x4er

Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

Hi all, I have tracked the problem and fixed it. I gather this is probably what is wrong with all of them. It is actually easy to fix. There are several places that will cause a squeaking sound. You can deal with all of them in one hit. Here's what I found. First you HAVE to remove the clutch pedal ...

Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

Thanks Mitsos,
I will check it out on the weekend. I have rubbed some grease up and around that area but it didn't stop the horrid noise :(.
I may need to have a closer inspection.

Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

No the sound is not there when I hold the clutch in, I don't believe it is the throw out bearing. The squeak is when I press the pedal in and it squeaks when I let it out. I just check some other forums and it seems to be a common problem. There are a few suggestions but no definite answer to the ...

Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

Hi tehekho,

Thanks for the advice. I will have a look to see where is bearing is. I could not see any bearing up near were the clutch cable/pedel is.
The sound seems to be coming from near the firewall where the cable goes through.

Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

Hi all, For a while now my clutch has been making a horrible squeaky sound when I press it in. I had a look and tried some grease on it but doesn't seem stop it. I grabbed hold of the cable while I pushed the pedal down and from the feel of it, it felt like it was comming from inside the cable. Does ...

Re: Problems with idling

Thanks MM, I spoke to the mechanic today, he said he took it to the auto electrician. It never faulted once!!! However when he went to return it to the mechanic he stalled it and it wouldn't start. They now think that it is the crank position sensor that in going out. Do you know if that is ...

Problems with idling

Hi all, First post, and I'm glad I found this site, a glodmine of Feroza info! I bought a nice Feroza a few years back. It has been a nice rig but for a while every now and then the car would stall at the lights or in similar situations, it would then start soon after. I was a little tolerant with ...
