IMO you will feel the 3.9 peppier with ZF, at least if you are not very aggresive with your gear changes on manual. Just kick down and get instant power. When i changed from lt77 to TF727 on my old 3.5 I felt it as a power increase, because I used more revs and smoother full throttle accelerations ...
