The bottom end will handle alot. My twin turbo drag ute (L98 6ltr with just forged pistons [stock crank, rods]) has had 15+psi into it for 2 years and runs consistant 9.8x @ 143mph with no issues. The pistons are the weak link on these engines and on the LS1 engines if you are going to really rev it ...
