Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Has anyone considered running qd32 pistons and rods in a td42.
they are already a 102mm stroke engine with a big bore based on the td27 platform.

ok. the bd25 and the bd30 pistons are a bolt in for the 2valve engine. I was looking to put a bd30 head on my engine so I have a direct injection engine. This thread come up in a search was I was researching some stuff about it

oh the zd30 pistons will go in as well will they. I didn't know that. Im just working on a qd32 and tweaking it up to go a bit better and was reading this thread learning about pumps.

you guys want direct injection then get a bd30 head it bolts on a td27. opps you guys have to many cylinders. But on a serious note the bd30 pistons will work nicely if you did a direct injection td42 some how

The gearbox behind the rb30 patrol seems to be the FS5R30A which is the same gear set as the gtr and skyline and the latter model navaras. You can use a nissan v6 if you want to stay nissan. you can upgrade there autos as well if you want them to handle big power

Are you sure the gearboxes are that weak its known as being strong in most other cars. Its the same style of gearbox that the rb26 uses in the gtr. Im not sure how they go in a patrol as I dont have the experience with a patrol but they are very strong in all other things

Yes I have turned up the fuel. I have an oil temp , water temp. egt and a boost gauge. Its getting a bit hot in the top end at the moment but I am fitting a larger turbo to flow more air to bring the afr closer to the right ratio. Thanks for that, much appreciated. I have blocked off the relief valve off already. I disconnected the waste gate on the stock turbo and it went to 16 psi. But its just making heat I think. I have no lights on it, but i was thinking about good info there. Cheers on the gaffa idea I will look into it ...
