Hi guys, so I have heard many theory's about light bars on the roof rack, depending on the state where your from. Im in NSW, can I legally put a light bar on my roof rack??

Hi guys, well I get the patrol back soon, heres whats happened. got the turbo, (DTS) intercooler and 3" exhaust. discovered head gasket leak so that's why is was running hot. once the head was off, discovered 5 and 6 cylinder full off coolant, 3 cyl had gouge in bore due to snapped ring.. Hi. well the 4.2Td is now in the Gu, all running great however I now have an over heating problem. 100kph is fine, its only when I do 110, the temp rises. have flushed out radiator and even put in another one. any ideas?? also how do I et the tacho to work from 4.2 to the 3 litre cluster?/

Hi all, well the 4.2 is now in the GU, runs quite well considering no turbo, So im stuck with 71 kw till I get a turbo. Has a noise im told thrust bearing ?imput shaft, noise goes when I push the clutch in. any thoughts anyone??

Well the 4.2 in in the 3 ltr wagon, now trying to sort out the wiring. I have the 4.2 loom out of the DX and putting it into the wagon. looks like there are some plugs that the 4.2 loom has that wont go into 3 ltr chassis?? will I need to change over the instrument cluster?

Hi, The motor is still in the DX ute I havnt taken out the 3 liter out of the wagon yet. runs well, no smoke. I will be getting a turbo added later on. I been told that the the moter has been rebuilt. so im hoping its all ok,,

Is the 2000; TD4.2 with 190.000 klm from a DX ok to work with?. Engine has had a few thousand dollars spent on it. Just thought it might be a bit old??

Hi, I have a 2000 4.2 GU non turbo motor I am putting into the GU wagon, the 3 litre is going, What turbo kit can I put onto the 4.2? is there a difference with power, boost and size of turbo kits? is the cooling system a part of the turbo kit?

Just got a DX 4.2 non turbo to replace blown turbo and 3 ltr engine in my GU. its in very good condition, about $6000.000 spent on it. I know engine mounts need to be moved and bell housing to be changed. Is there anything else I should be looking out for??

I have heard many arguments about having roof mounted lights as part of the roof rack. Had a mate get pulled ove by nsw police, and was asked to remove them. So why can so many B & S utes have them. Being a driving instructor myself, ive heard many different versions.
