Can anyone post a pic or explain an easy way to tell the difference between a gen 1 7.25" and 8" low pinion front diff for a pajero ( to a misti novice ) . Would be most appreciated .
Even if someone can tell me the overall diameter of the diff head housing of each .
Thanks
Chris

Hi I have a 413 flat deck cab that I have to do a guard chop on due to rust . I am after some ideas on what people have do for flares after a chop . Not looking at the std rubber add ons ( or garden edging ) , more a flare off something thats a good fit after the cut etc . Years ago read a post ...

Re: 2.0ltr vitara into sierra
I have put a J18 and auto into a 413 . Goes like a cut cat . Love the auto . It was a reasonably straight forward fit , a few problems thou . The sump has been completely cut and reshaped and is small ( ok for what we do with it ) and needed to notch out more than recomended to fit the selector ...

Scratch that , I seem to remember machining down the 413 tube to fit inside the vitara housing .

1999 Nivara qd32 turbo options
Hello This is just a general push for info . I have strayed from the suzuki section as I am looking at buying a 99 Nivara with a qd32 non turbo engine . It has an automatic box and seems to be a base spec model ( jap import here in NZ ) . It will be no good as a tow wagon unless its turboed and I ...

All the wiring diagrams I have here for swift autos say they have one , so maybe the auto's have them and not the manuals .

Vitara pwr steering pump pressure and mod
Hello
Does anyone know the pressure out of a vitara powersteering pump ?
Also a few years ago there was a post about drilling the pump for increased flow and pressure , I have searched and can't find it . Anyone remember it ?
Cheers

Re: g series auto, f series motor
I have just sold two G10a turbo engines , 3cyl engines , fatcory 80 hp . Would have made a great light buggy engine but no room to store them . The good thing about the g10a is it is indeed a g13 with one less pot , ie all the other parts are the same , pistons oil/water pump etc . Easier to get ...

Re: Starting Vitara Mods this weekend, Advice on hubs please
 . They are not 410 or GV lock flanges , they are factory vitara flanges . Lots of the import and new vehciles have them here . On the NZ forum you had a good link to what you wanted to do . You can swap any of the fore mentioned drive flanges , your existing auto hubs ( not what I would do ...

I have wired up to engine conversions that used the tank out of a swift gti . These are a very flat tank and filled up most of the back of a 413 . Re: G16A Auto onto a G16B Motor
The older 3sp is a non elec box and the 4sp is controlled by an ecu . From what I understand all the ecu's have the outputs for an auto but the plug may not have pins for them . Either have to swap pins from unused wires or another plug , they just clip out . I have only opened auto ecu's so no ...

1.6 diffs into v6
Hello Couple of questions , the search answered them partly . Is a 1.6 vitara 12 bolt rear diff head a straight swap into a 95ish v6 ? or do you have to swap the ring and pinion . Is the complete rear diff the same ? Also will a 10 bolt rear diff head bolt in also ? I think I have to swap the ring ...

Made a tool to do the job , get a 10mm deep reach socket and weld a bar to it . Try and get a 3/8 dr deep reach so a bigger screwdriver can go down the middle of it . The issue is the lock nuts are well recesesed and you can't get a spanner on them . With the "tool" you can crack the lock nut and ...

So long as the j20 bottom end is the same as a j18 ( which I believe it is ) it will bolt up fine . Grave digging an old thread  I would expect the vitara ecu has the right outputs to drive the jimny auto ecu . I used the trail tough kit to install the vitara 4sp auto in a 413 ( yes it was expensive but we were in a rush to get it completed ) It bolted in nicely and we did not have to stuff around with new drive shafts etc as it retains the 413 t/case . Ouch thats about 160 odd HP . Given a 1.6 vitara is around 100 HP that is a big jump . Would it handle it , that would all depend on how you drive it and where you wheel it .
