Never had anything to do with the Dana 300 but the LT is good, however a rear disconnect isnt that easy.. be an extra $1200 odd for that . why do you want to upgrade the internal shaft in an LT ?? never heard of them braking but doesnt mean they dont.. mine has coped a bit over the past few months ...

I've perused the thread and not seen any info regarding what amenities are available during Rumble on the Rocks. Are there any food/drink vendors? Toilets? Is this info on a website?

Milo, your mounting idea is so 1980s Rangie.

Just hack into it and let the sawsall be your guide. It's only a 100 series.

Send a PM to rockcrawler31.

He bought them for $2000 and told me he'd take $1500 for them. Just a tip, though, if you want them at a bargain price, haggle like a massage lady in a Thai brothel and don't be afraid to swear...I mean HEAPS.

You can do all of that ^^^^^^^^^ and get really good at pulling diffs apart.

Or you can save up, get Patrol or 80/100 series diffs, swap them under and never worry about breaking CVs on 33/35s again.

Re: Spring Dislocating Cone ?????

Cones work. They make the rear a bit unstable and throw the front to rear balance out, in terms of suspension performance. You're better off securing top and bottom. I have personally used dislocation cones - homemade - and liked how the rear flexed, but I also had Haultech Holy Bushes upfront to ...

Re: hilux with a patrol rear diff

As long as ratio are the same and as long as the tyre size are the same it'll do fine. Put a cruisers diff under keep t Toyota. Use a 60 rear diff 100 series have 4.3:1 diffs, not so sure that 60 series did that ratio. The Patrol are a better fit as the pumpkin is near centred like the hilux rear.

That's because this thread is a good 12-18 months behind the release of the Jana kits on Pirate. . Brooksy has spoken about it long before this thread and I have personally discussed it with him when he was helping me with my diffs, which was a good 12 months ago.

The easiest way is to just de-register the car, buy another one and use the rego from that in the comps. Illegal? Yes. But so is your current rig.
