Re: 3.0 turbo diesel Jackeroo

agreed, those motors have known issues, the design of the injection pump and injectors particulary is not so good!

Re: 4ze1 lose of power

yea exhaust sounds like the culprit, i have had a fair few 4z's in the past and they generally are pretty good, little things can go playing up (eg tps, airflow meter) but these generally cause surging or engine shutdown

i would be also replacing the fuel & air filter

cheers

Re: 4.5TD V8 (1VD-FTV) into 100 series conversion (UPDATED!)

the 1vd sound is pretty good but i find i cant really hear the turbo's, they just dont sound like a turbocharged engine, even those i have heard with bigger exhausts dont have that whistle that sounds so good (eg 4.2 GQ/GU)

the boost bleed off sounds good tho

Re: LWB or SWB sierra?

good thing about the zook is being so light you could hang you bum to balance the weight! i reckon a set of wider rims on wt axles would help, but still they can be tippy i spose, wont know till i get out and do it!

LWB or SWB sierra?

Looking to get a zook for pure offroading, having seen a few shorty 4wd's flip over due to tall tyres and lift i am a bit worried about the zook cartwheeling down the hill, so i have been looking for a LWB model but they are more exy and hard to find :( So my question to the zookers, how do they ...

Re: 200 series live axle

the 200 series SAS thing has been debated over at IH8MUD, i would imagine if anyone does one the yanks will.....

Having taken mine offroad i can say it is pretty awesome out of the box, but i have also done some minor damage in places my mates with higher trucks didnt bat an eyelid over, i nearly ...
