Re: RN106 Cab-Swap Info Needed...giving the lux some extra d
Happy that I could help, as I said there was some discussion at the time that it would work ,but it actually worked a treat. Yeah the inner guards were a bit different, not much, I think I cut a little bit out with a grinder. The body mounts on the chassis were the same, I think your right they are ...

Re: RN106 Cab-Swap Info Needed...giving the lux some extra d
:D :D HI guys, I did a 2wd hilux body swap onto a 4x chassis some years ago. The body fitted no worries, just bear in mind that the front inner gaurds are a little different cause of the independent from end on the 2x and the solid on the 4x. Still fitted not worries with a little bit of cutting ...

Re: misfire/surging 1hz
Thanks for the repsonse so far, it would appear that 'maverick93' may have been correct. New filter and one tank with injector cleaner and the problem is basically gone, still a little hesitation during acceleration, but can put up with it until I organise a set of injectors. I have regained a bit ...

Re: misfire/surging 1hz
I discovered if I primed the primer pump the buz noise from the injectors or pump went away. I changed the filter today and put in some injector cleaner, still surging but not as bad, me thinking maybe injectors?????. MIght even be two problems, air getting into the system (buzzing noise) and the ...

misfire/surging 1hz
Hi, I was looking for some advice. I have a 93, hzj75 with a 400,000km's on it. It has developed a misfire when accelerating first thing in the morning (cold) and once it warms up it misfires under load from around 2400rpm and wont rev (under load) much more than 3000rpm due to the misfire. It will ...

Are Diffs inter-changable
I was wondering if my front diff from my 89 - LN106 2.8 Hilux is interchangable with my 93 75 series 4.2L ute. Looking at the ARB fitment for difff lockers they appear to list the same part number.
Also what about the rear (just curious)
Thanks

Hiux 2wd to 4wd?
Hi all, I am after some information from you Hilux Guru's. I have a 95, 2.8 diesel, single cab, tray back in a 2wd version. It's a great little truck, but I'm sick of getting bogged in my paddocks everytime someone spits on the ground. I was wondering if it was possible and what the problems would ...

My old man has a 2004 v8, just fitted a few months ago with injected gas. He is currently travelling with his 16 foot off road van and a boat on the top of the rack on his cruiser. No problems whatsoever. Returning 400plus km per tank(100l) all loaded up as above. He has done a few trips without the ...

Best thing I done
Martin, Put LPG on my 4.5, 80 last year, lost a little power on gas, but for general driving not noticable, considering the power the 4.5 has anyway. Cost all up was about $3k including the wheel carrier on the back. Returns about 11cents, or less per kilometre (let me see a diesel cruiser return ...
