him all i have just got a 4be again after a little while , its a rb30 patrol doesnt go to bad but am thinking of putting a 308 under the bonnet , if any one has done the conversion could let me know how it went , ie petrol consumption im pretty sure the power was better , any info would be great oh ...

80 cruiser with 3f motor man , found a conversion bell housing clutch but
no engine mounts from a 60 series cruiser man.
A. will there be any probs with fitment in engine bay
B. engine mount adaptor hard to come by
any info would be great cheers people

Hey people looking at getting a 80 cruiser ,would like some info if possible on anything i should look at when checking them at.
ie
body rust where abouts to look
engine & driveline noise at certain klms
chassie cracks

man you are better off using the toyota stuff
1 remove all the old gasket off , buff the pan edge with the wire wheel on the grinder
2nd clean the block throughly then carbie clean the block & pan surface ,
then your laughing , should not leak from there , just tighten the sump up even , never ...

ive got a suzuki rear seat in mine paid 140 for it , folds down then up behind the front seats still have room to use in the back . ring transport for some ones number to mod plate it . :cool:

the rattles add to experience of owning a 40
bloody things are 30 years old and been to hell & back & still want more than you can throw at them, live with rattles or turn the stereo up if you have one, if not, ear muffs are at bunnings on special at the moment :lol:
