We have a td42 in our bus (1992 150,000 klm) that throws the coolant out the radiator something cronical and it also has a knocking sound that I reckon is hydraulic not mechanical. Cracked each injector as it was running to try and id which pot was crook, none made any difference and it is not ...

Just pulled out the old diesel, 527404 klms tight as a drum inside.
piston bore clearance real good with no blowby, bottom end real good,oil pressure spot on, never had the head off before.
WHY pull it out? the greed for performance won
