I have -90 RRC with 3.9 efi, and it has had problematic idle, and it was quite thirsty, but the car worked fine, I drove several thousand kilometers and towed a heavy trailer, too. The AFM connector was loose, now it idles OK and the fuel consumption has come down a lot. Funny, but the engine feels ...

I think I may have mentioned this before, but to raise the height of the draglink ball joint when I fitted Volvos to a 110 Landy I removed the ball and seats from the Landy Pitman arm and pressed in a machined piece of steel with a tapered hole to match a LandRover tierod end. This raises ...

So what are the differences between the 6x6 axles and 4x4. I understand:

6x6 has 4-pin diff

6x6 has lower ratio - 7.?:1 ???

6x6 has rear diff(s) closer to centre or centred?

Yep. I think it's 7.05:1 or 7.56:1, maybe wilsby knows better?

Hi,

Paavo, do you know if the 6x6 centers swap inte the 4x4 axles? The 6x6 axles are considered less desirable, and hence cheaper. There may be some economy in getting them for just the centers. I guess you want the R&P to swap as well, but do they fit on the beefier centers?

I guess 6x6 ...

a couple of things:

- volvo stock rim is 16"*7.5" (at least the ones I have, several sets)
