Re: seats for gu

You'd need to check bolt spacing for attachment but i used the brackets made for the ARB parratus seats with a set of OBX seats. Not particularly cheap, but as the clip for the seat belt attaches to the seat rail, i wanted to make sure it was done properly with the calculations done. It comes with a ...

Sorry, to clarify. Connect spare battery to relay box only.
Keep your normal battery connected and used for everything else.

Re: Gu patrol door lock

If there is an aftermarket alarm/imobiliser installed, these sometimes can cause this behaviour by design. although it should happen everytime. When you remove power and then put on power to an aftermarket central locking relay box it will usually trigger locks so maybe it's not wired to power ...

the fridge will shut off on low battery to minimise damage to the battery and stop damage to the fridge motor
It will not cut it off early enough to give you enough juice to start your car.
Thats what a dual battery system is for.

personally haven't heard of this product but it appears to be made by vertex standard who make yaesu amateur radio. If they're anything like the amateur radios then it's probably a good product. Thing to remember if you get one of these is that you're on your own. If you get an FX324, everyone knows ...

2.0mm!! Woah thats way overkill, for my rollcage I only used 0.9mm tube which the teenager at supercheap told me would be plenty! Think of all the weight you'll be saving. :finger: And to save even more weight, Don't weld it. Welds are much heavier than the tube. a much stronger and lighter ...

I rang every engineer (in VIC) and no one would sign off on a body lift in my GU as i had a drivers airbag.

But in hind site, the car doesn't need a body lift. It can run 35's without it.

A common farmers alternative to provide compressed air out in the field is to get an old VW engine being aircooled and all. Mod it to run on 2 cylinders and the other two act as a pump, mount it to a small trailer or back of the ute.

as far as hole positioning, get one flare and one permanent texta. hold in place then mark the spots where the clips touch.
Or if you're really picky, ask the wrecker to let you trace off the car it comes off.

depending on your switches/light you may need to install a relay. if either switch is on the light will be on. It requires both switches to be off to be off.. Only downside to this setup is if you get some little %#$ turn on the outside switch whilst you're parked somewhere you can count on a flat ...

unlikely but possible. some of the 4.2 turbo diesels have a blow off valve as well as the wastegate (not sure about the 3.0's) go to a plumbing supply store and get a 1" BSP copper plug (male thread) unscrew the blow off valve and put in the plug. The spring weakens over time and lets boost out ...
