depending on what you want 2 or 4 door, 4 or 5 speed i'd say the 1985 phase 11 rangie was a vast improvement on the earlier model improvements included

-lt77 5 speed manual (was not known for it's strength though but should have been rebuilt by now, the older 4 speeds are pretty well bullet proof ...

The most common place to measure spring height is from the bump stop to the top of the axle hosuing, it's where i've always done it are you still runnig standard disco springs under your rig??

I have read that the secret to longlivity in a tdi is good service history and good quility engine oil, has anyone know or been told to try and not use shell oil in rover engines as it has to much detergent in it???. so what is the best 15/40 oil to use in the rover tdi???
