Re: GU Brakes - what have I done wrong?
Are you doing it by yourself with a bleeder kit? Have never had problems with bleeding brakes on nissan gq or gu even series 5 with abs. A incorrectly set wheel front wheel bearing can do this as the disc will sit further to the outside of the car and the caliper tries to make up the distance. Does...

Yeah mate,Yom wrote: I would take a stab that you didn't touch the rear brake bias proportioning valve thing which noone ever bleeds?
It was a bitch of a thing but I am confident I bled it well.
I might have to simply buy some fluid and vac bleed it as you say

GU Brakes - what have I done wrong?
Guys, Just spent the day R&R just about everything on the GU. New slotted DBA rotors and TRW Pads. Caliper kits front and rear. Master was new maybe 6 months ago. Bled the damn thing about 5 times so far (including the proportioning valve) and now the pedal is worse than before, spongy and will ...

GU sub pump
Morning gents, Small problem with the transfer pump in my 99 GU in that it seized the other day and required a little percussion to get working again... Has anyone replaced the pump with an aftermarket item or what would be a reasonable choice? I guess it doesn't have to be fast, just reliable! Brot...

I can help you with the locker problem. Similar issues with mine a few years ago and followed the advice of a member here who had fixed the problem once and for all.

Nope!! They aint router bits... They came out of the injector pump head after you removed the injector pipes from the rear of injector pump when you took it off motor. Dont worry about them tho....these little widgets are automatically replaced when the pump is overhauled. How do I know this??? Jus...

Beats the hell out of me :? No router to have bits laying around for here for miles and the hex is straight cut and not at all sharp. Apologies for the shaky pics... taken pre coffee this morning! I did discover that the 'hex' is a nice slip fit inside the 'button' though  http://i41.photobuck...

99 GU Patrol running 2 50W HID's in Hella 4000 cases. Am using a standard relay @ 30A. When they fail, I can hear the relay click but checking it with the circuit tester it doesn't power the output pin. 85 Ground wire is good, checked it tonight and gave it a polish with wet and dry just in case. 86...

Gents, What are my options (brand and price) for replacing these? The originals broke on one side not long after I bought the car and without thinking too long and hard, I bought another set from Pedders which broke a while ago. I have been running without them but to me, the car feels a bit unsure ...

@$*#$%&#$! Bonnet Protector
Hi gents, Bought a new protector for the patrol, fitted the bastard only to have it fall out ten minutes later... Try as I might I can't tighten the screws into the plug hard enough to make it grip the matching hole in the underside of the bonnet any better than mediocre. Have tried silicon etc for ...

GU Drivers seat
Gents,
Noticed this in my truck the other day... the damn seat rail seems to be loose closest to the door. All bolts are tight so it seems the problem is between the two rails.
Anyone seen the problem before and is it fixable or a replace job?
Cheers

Is it possible to retension the retractable seatbelts in a GU? My drivers side isas sluggish as buggery to retract itself... even when guided back into the slot. Probably not a big issue but I have already slammed the damn door on the buckle a few times :bad-words: If not, Will the belts from the th...

Hey all, Recently put commercial Biodiesel in my TD42T and now the damn thing wants to run on when the key is turned off. Only runs on for a few seconds but it shouldn't do it at all!! Tanks are not low enough at this stage for me to dilute the bio out with normal pump diesel enough for me to be con...
