I just cranked mine 2" then braced the under side with some 10mm X 30mm plate worked well, still using them after 2 years..

So did you just put a bend in them that put the axle end 2" lower than stock? Or were there any other adjustments that had to be made?

Hi guys, I'm looking for specs to get my local steel man to crank and strengthen my rear arms for me. Does anyone here have any specs for lengths and angles to suit a D1 with a 3" spring lift?

He more than likely is mistaking the CDL for F&R difflocks.

I had a mate who bought a 92ish Pajero with the Super Select transfer case.
He swore black and blue that locking the CDL was actually locking both F&R diffs :lol:
The Paj did come with an optional rear locker.

as for parts in in the ACT right now and no one stocks bits for them so i have to order them in. the gasket i got was the oil pump gasket and it got "lost" in the mail 2 times before i got it.


You need to change suppliers, try Land Vehicle Spares near Sydney. Even if they don't have the parts ...

AFAIK that would have to be the Isuzu 4BD2-T. Unlike the 4BD1-T (unfortunately) the 4BD2-T is indirect injection, and are not as reliable (notorious for cracked heads).

I'm currently considering the same conversion for my '95 Disco.
I'd have thought that welding and redrilling would be easier than manufacture.
I was thinking auto of some description. I haven't looked enough yet to have any real ideas there yet.

Ok, I have had the thermostat changed, radiator cleaned out and given a good rodding!, viscous changed (Other one was cactus anyway), and still have the same issue.

Mechanic, who i trust assures me that it is not a head gasket. The needle still creeps a needle width up to 3/4 on the hwy ...

Have you considered leaning of lpg on hwy leading to more heat production??? Rover v8's don't like being run lean. Perhaps a retune would fix it. Mechanic can do a CO (carbon monoxide) test to confirm gasket failure.

I had this problem also, had the cooling system cleaned, but the problem didn't go away til the radiator was removed and rodded.
If it was not done this way then I would look at getting it done first up.

So how do you find the handling without the swaybars? I'm running bilstein shocks, heavy duty front defender springs and lifted pedders springs in the rear, I think this is a fairly stiff setup in the front, I'm actually looking at changing my front springs for pedders also. I don't want to ...

I wish to disconnect my front sway bar for offroad,is there a disonnect option for the series 1 Disco?
I plan to remove my rear sway bar, so would like the frontto remain for onroad use.
