Friend checked out the car today, has a wierd road noise at 100k's sounds like tires, the roof channels have rust starting along and slight bubbles of rust in the sunroof. Front diff pinions need atleast new seals, tfr case is leaking

Not so sure now, cant win. :P

6500 so far, and looks pretty straight will find out during the week

Hence im concidering such a high milleage vehicle, id like to go 80 series deisel but its a bit too much of a stretch for me atm.

Sounds promissing, thats pretty much wanted to hear. Believe it or not 12ltrs/100kmh is about the same as what i use in my little 4 cylinder Mr2 :P Supercharger and a stock ECU thats tuned to over fuel like crazy does that :( it runs 9:1 AFRs on load on a dead stock healthy motor :S

Thanks for the tip, ill keep that in mind. Though im only really looking at spending ~$5k. Add to that i will never need to tow over ~2000kg anyway

Im looking at buying a HJ60 which has a noisey gearbox, its fine when its moving no noise at all. There is alot of rattling when you release the clutch and the box is in neutral though
