Radiator - Have it checked, costs $30.

MTQ should calibrate pump after fitting turbo. If your running big psi, you'll need the pump to be modded as well.

3 inch exhaust will reduce the EGT's alot more than 2.5 (from experience).

Go Dobinson, have had that on the GQ running 4 inch, but the bushes flogged out in 40 thou. Get the caster correction plates. Really good suspension.

Got dobinson in the GU, have 3 inch at moment, cost 700 fitted (no castor plates/panhard rods needed). Going the 4 inch need a little ...

Go aftermarket, garrett or schwiezer (spelling??).

Had schwizer on TD42 91 running 12psi modded fuel pump 3 inch mandrell bent exhaust @ 165hp at the rears. Went well!

If you want someone to fit it, I'd allow 4k plus exhaust, then you may even have some change!

Fitting 4 inch kit shortly, the 3 inch rear springs didn't handle towing the other day and my camper is pretty high, so we have worked out that 4 inch kit will be perfect when fully loaded.

Still happy with the truck mate? I think I have a dry spigot bearing ...

... just trying to cool the air more before it runs through the turbo....

I thoght the intercooler cooled the air that came out of the turbo........ or have I got it the wrong way round??

Yes, I have the safari one stuffed down the front but to the right of the radiator if you are looking head on.

works a treat, gets a heap of airflow on the open road and I havn't looked back.

Been looking at the sad excuse of an intercooler wasting room in my GU. Anyone upgraded this intercooler and if so, did it fit back on top again, and did it make much difference.

Currently running 12psi, plated egr, 3 inch mandrell exhaust with high flow single muffler, fuel up etc ...

me i got a 5inch mega lift kit from nick mannell with tough dog shocks. the kit comes with everything you need to fit it. i run with 285/75/16 mtrs. dosn't look to small. i love it. flexs up great. easy to drive on the road[/quote]

Thanks truckster. Was looking yesterday at 35 MTR's. Wouldn't have any problem pushing them so they would go pretty nicely with a 5 inch kit wouldn't they? No scurb and would match the arcticulation of the bigger kit well.
they would go nicely with a 3inch kit if steve had Q78's with his.

if your only running 33's dont waste your money... Put it towards piss, or burn it..
been said before, little roly had 36's with 3inch lift. would look like pure asshat with 33's...

Considering upping the 3 inch lift in the GU to 5 inch (GU TD6 with powerup mods). Going to stick to dobinson as I've had that in both the GU and the GQ. Got a mate who will buy the 3 inch kit off me should I proceed.

Running 3 currently, ran 4 inch in the GQ with 33 MTR's. Obviously ...

Hunt around a bit more, I picked up a brand new 3.9 bottom end for $3200 and just stuck my heads, manifold & front cover on it, bolted straight in and it PURRED.

Have a 1976 3.5 4 speed range rover and purchased it not running...yeah yeah, first big mistake!! But it had recond transfer new clutch new tyres and suspension, was in pretty good nick ...

Thanks mate. Done the diff hose. So the linkages, custom jobby or does someone do them?

I have recently just had my swaybar linkages extended 3"s to match the lift. The other day went up Rocky Tk in Toolangi with no probs what so ever. If the linkages are of the correct length it seems you still get great flex out of the suspension.

You would never see those gauges when you need them.
Going up a steep hill, rutted, or greasy, you would have to spend too much time looking at the track concentrating to see the EGT.

Lucky I don't need to mate...having a case of de ja vu here!

My UHF sits nicely on under the stereo, removed the original unit, fitted a pioneer mp3 wma deck with dual pre outs for sub etc with flip down screen and the uhf sits under that. I took out the recessed plastic bits holder as it was no use to me.

I guess it depends on what you want ...

Not cheap are they the ol' gauges. Just had them put in mine and set me back a few $$$ for the pod as well. But it's the best thing to have, peace of mind!
