When i added the intercooler(before it was tuned) i did notice an increase in performance but the bigger thing i noticed was that the egt's were much lower, a lot slower rising and much faster dropping in temperature. I did the Laminova intercooler because i do a lot of towing and i wanted more ...

can I ask what the average fuel usage increase has been for these power ups? Am interested but my bus already guzzles 15-16lts per hundred and a 20% increase would hurt if thats what others are seeing with the power gain So far the fuel consumption has been approx. the same if not better at times ...

What can i say but very happy. EGT's are lower, power and torque is up a lot, the car drives very differently. On hills where it used to run out of puff in overdrive and lose speed it now accelerates! People need to remember it's a standard GQ pump with a standard DTS kit running 10psi and 33's. The ...

Finally finished hooking it up! Went for a quick spin and it feels more responsive, but importantly egt's are lower and they drop much quicker when you lift off. So i'll talk to Dieseltec tomorrow to organise the after dyno run. I think Matt's going to post some pics as well.

What size exhaust? On my DTS kit the exhaust was updated to 3 inch but the DTS dump pipe was 3 inch then goes down in diameter to match the standard exhaust, whoever did the 3 inch left the standard flange causing a restriction. I had similar symptoms where my car would stumble for a split second ...

The pinion flanges on the 4.6 ratio diffs out of the 2.8 are smaller and will need to be swapped so you can bolt your tail shaft in.

You could also use allen head bolts instead of hex heads. The DTS kits use allen head bolts on their cross over pipe as you can't fit hex head bolts in.

How much will the results vary by running a more usable sized radiator? Because Marin's one is just bloody huge.. Retail on a new top mount for a 3 litre GU is in the region of $1600-1700, 4.2 is probably similar, i'll find out. Quite expensive and they do split/leak on the 3 litres, that's why Trikfab does a replacement core for them haven't heard of the same issue on the 2.8 or 4.2, others may know ...

Hi, I recently fitted a safari tuff clutch which shuddered horribly. Had that happen to mine turned out that caliper was ground down allowing the pad to fall out. The pad should stay in the caliper even if metal to metal on the disc. I suspect that mine had a wheel bearing fail or undo for a previous owner. I replaced the caliper.

Hi,

I've got ARB air lockers in my Mav. and have noticed some oil coming out of one of the solenoids under the bonnet if this possibly a leaking seal in the diff. or a blocked breather?

Thanks.
