Hi there Rod,
Go for it mate at least no you will be able to have a larger range of parts available for mods with not as many dramas. I've actually upgraded my truck again. I'm in a V8 100 series now.
Hope all goes well for you
Regards

On the whole, not too hard to do...just a pain but we have 3 of us working on it hehe. One thing tho, Mark, did you ever have troubles getting the inner CV out of the Diff? Mine seems to be catching or something and won't come out??? Also, did you just reuse the clips on the boots..and some of those ...

Murray,
Its best to take some oil out just in case but you definately have to grease the cv joint bearings before you put the drive shaft into the housing.
Best of luck, its a great job for the first time
Mark

Doates, Imo the wide track would be the better option. The picture is a narrow track and from memory the wide track started coming out in 1992, sombody correct me if I'm wrong. There isn't any difference in lifting and or raising a narrow or wide track as I've done both and its just the same. If you ...

Leon, I believe that if you have the time to get it machined then do it. As besty said it's just like you brake rotors. It shouldn't cost all that much either. Best thing to do is when you know when your doing your clutch call a machine shop/clutch house and book it in so then there are no delays ...

1HZ motor question?....
Well I went into toyota today and the've removed the head and found pistons 1 and 2 have scored the bores. They are also saying that this is because it has an aftermarket turbo on it and it's now up to DTS to say if they will cover it. Now I've got to wait untill Tuesday untill anything can be done.

1HZ motor question?....
I bought a diesel (with a DTS Turbo) 100 series cruiser with 72'000 km on the clock and took it into Toyota for its 80'000 km service. When I went to pick it up the manager asked how long the knock has been in it?. Long story short they found a knock in number 6 piston. They took the big end bearings ...

Leon and Murray, I used a thick black texta wrapped around a few times with lecco tape as a alignment tool, then measured it at 4 points with some verniers to check the difference and ajusted the clutch to suit. From memory I think your allowed up to 0.4mm runout, correct me if I'm wrong. The job ...

Leon, I had a ceramic clutch in my old feroza for approx 8 months and it never slipped. You could ride it but takes a little more control than the standard clutch but when you take it off it grabs, so you have to keep the rev's up or you'll stall it. As for climbing rock's off roading etc it was ...

idler arm?
Hi Rod,
Is it your idler arm that's gone? if so how, I think you mean your bushes are worn out. If that is the case then you can buy new ones for under $20 and they should last for another few years.
Just my 2c worth
Regards
Mark Hoult
