Why don't you just buy the gears or the whole case if you have to and take the gears out and put them in yours? Would save a lot hassel, gives you more selection with what you can buy too.

I have a Maruti 94 WT case and I already contacted you about possibly selling you the 1L gears and upgrading ...

Running spoa with a z-link. I know everyone says they are dodgy and shit but seriously, I think 99% of those people just say it cause someone else did so it makes them sound like they know what they are talking about. I haven't noticed any difference in steering at all and I have no idea what all ...

I'm in the process of doing this right now, the perches I bought have two holes, a centered one and one an inch back. I just put the spring pin in the center one cause I figured if it hits the back on the spring, it will hit the front on the spring too. I have hammered my arches so I'm not sure ...

Yeah I don't know how shops calculate their 'hours of labour'. I got quoted 2 hours labour by opposite lock to run a weld around my spring perches once they are already spot welded into position, probably take him 15mins.

I think about $130 including shipping. They are SKY perches, I think they are the best ones you can get, rocky-roads look good too but not as well made, there is some serious work in these, they are all welded up, the rocky-road ones are more like cut out of a piece of tube, the top plate looks ...

SPOA - How to remove draglink

Hey,

The car is all jacked up and it's in progress. I just have 2 questions.

1. How the #$%# do you get the drag link off? I have tried to search it and I can only find "use a hammer" or "use a ball joint splitter" . How exactly to these things come apart? The nut is off and I tried hammering it ...

I understand that brakes are important but then again so is everything else, people talk you out of retreads cause you are risking your life (mongrels anyone?) and I'm sure not everyone buys new u-bolts every time they change springs. I know other people doing it doesn't make it 100% safe but ...

built4thrashing, are these new replacement or second hand? I need 3, two front one back, can you get 3 and will they be 4" longer than the back one too? I think that may be longer, not sure, haven't measured it. If you can get 3 in reasonable condition that will fit, would I be able to give you $10 ...

Cheap Extended Brake Lines

Hey,

I'm after some extended brake lines and I was hoping there was a cheaper solution than buying 'extended brake lines' which I thought were fairly pricy. I have heard that swift, honda accord and nissian 300ZX (front) brake lines can be used but have no idea what years will fit and can't find ...

Yeah garden edging worked for me, just line it up, drill holes and rivet it in, will never come loose, slid up against some trees in the mud, took the bark off the tree and my flares were fine.

minimum rim size for 10.5" wide tyres is 7"

That's why I'm not using mine, I'm not going to spend $360 just on some rims for 1 set of tyres. I'd spend $100 or $150 for second hand but I can't find any.

I have a set of 33x10.5R16 BFG Muddies and I tried to get 16" rims for them. To buy new the biggest width I could get was a 16x7 and the best price I could get them for was $80 a rim, I looked for second hand and the best I found were some 16x4.5 or something off a jeep and the dude wanted $50 a rim ...

So maybe the 8" rims would be better. I think 33" is enough, don't want ot any taller than that. What about visually though. I want them to look as small as possible, so if they are bulging off a 7" rims that may look as though the tyres are bigger than if they sit straighet with the 8" rim. Not sure.

I can't really try any, I have only found one second hand set and I am ringing the guy back today, they are 16x7, not sure on the offset. If I get new ones I can't try them either. I am just trying to work out what I should be looking for and if I get new ones, what I should order.

What effect ...

F100 Rims - Which offset?

Hey,

Im getting some 16x7 or 16x8 F100 rims to fit the 33x10.5 tyres I have. They are the 285/7... type but measure to 32x10.5 but are the equivalent to 33", that doesnt matter. Which will make it easier to run the tyres, i.e. least rubbing. Also which offset do I want? The dude at the shop said ...

In Perth. I tried to get 16x8 grand vitara rims and I can't find any, not even new sunraisers, I can't afford new alloys. New sunraisers were more of the top end price wise, I'd prefer some second hand cheapies, the tyres with lanrover rims only cost me $100. Are you sure the 16x7s will be big ...
