intake pipe 16v 1600
Trying to free up some space under my bonnet. I would like to relocate the air cleaner to the rear of the engine bay for plumbing straight through to the snorkel. is there a reason that the intake pipe is sooo long between the throttle and MAF ? or can i just chop it.

roc70y - you'll have to replace your prototype with one of these works of art. very professional looking.. why dont you paint them some bright colour and call them " THE MOST EAGERLY ANTICIPATED PRODUCT OF THE YEAR" then charge $100ea for them... After i get mine of course. :P i'll send a few PM's ...

IS THERE A REVOLUTION IN THE WINDS?
Hope i'm not behind the times with this idea but haven't read anything about it before. with sierras getting scarcer and the interest in them growing we may have to source other vehicles to modify. enter the carry... http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b27/HAWESHOUSE/CHRIS%20PICS/smallmini.jpg i know ...

this would not be easy. possible in the rear but the front coils have the bump stop running up the centre. having ajustable front would mean a compromise in camber at either raised or lowered the tyres would sit at a funny angle at one of the positions. could be done with a sas though. If you were ...

Whitvit… you know you want to build a zuk! You shouldn’t have sold your last one! A mates dad has a 1ltr lwb ute, had it since new, only drives it small distances at a max 80km/h -you know the type, real anal and tight (hence the zook) already put my dibs on it when it moves on. always got my ey ...

if you weld your centre and unleash some of the awsome capabilitys of ur zook and then go looking for the hard stuff (as usually happens) of course the lifespan would be reduced. stresses on the front diff are greater but you could have many years of solid service. especially with smaller rubber ...

it really does depend on your drving style, terrain etc. yes the front rear locker debate is strong. just some ponderings... a locker in the rear will tend to push the front tyres in sand. you will notice this if your in 2wd moreso.. there is some debate about traction needed on uphill runs. Some ...

Vitara Fopar ?
I have seen on some lifted vits that a driveshaft spacer is fitted in the rear. Some manufacturers recommend this on lifts above 2". My understanding of the geometry of the rear suspension is that lifting the rear causes the much shorter trailing arms to droop and actually push the driveshaft ...

My advice would be to use a rag joint then a spacer made of something like 20mm square bar(solid) then a second rag joint. use rubber ones not urethane. hope this makes sense. kinda hard to explain. it will end up that the input and output at this joint will be aligned on the same holes in their ...

doing a strut flip is considered a safe addition. you gain about 30mm of travel. the stock strut has unused travel at it's top end and can be spaced down up to 50mm. The old man emu struts are 40mm longer. opinions vary (according to how many cv's people are breaking) but 40 mm is deemed safe. It ...

Never heard of anyone lengthening the steering for a BL. Couldn't require much. An extra spacer should be all that is required. But why change it if it works well and looks stock, You know they'll look closer if they see that you have been modifying it especially if they notice your welding. When it ...
