Have you calculated your fuel economy?

I get 11-12l/100km from my NL 2.8. Filling up when the fuel gauge is showing just above empty means I get about 600-650 km from a tank.

Hahahaha... I suppose the $320 I spent on the bullbar would just about buy your Shorty! ;)

Thanks for that info, Glenn.

Yep, my paj only has the factory body lift. Since all NLs had the same lift I am assuming this would be okay.

Difference between ARB winch bullbar for NL GLS and NL GLX?

I am in the process of buying an ARB winch bullbar second hand and have realised that it was actually off a Pajero 1999 NL GLS. As you can see from my sig I will be trying to fit it to a 1997 NL GLX. Is the only difference between the GLX and GLS the flared quarter panels? I am hoping there is no ...

I took my Pajero to a different mechanic and he believes it is the top joint/knuckle in the steering column. It is possible to reproduce the noise whilst stationary by moving the steering wheel up and down when it is in certain positions. Do any of you guys know if this part can be replaced/serviced ...

I don't think you can even compare the 3.5 petrol against the 2.8 diesel in terms of power. The 3.5 produces 140kW and the 2.8 produces a meagre 92 kW. I am happy with the performance of my 2.8, but I didn't buy it for the power!

The best fuel economy I have had was 10l/100km (sedate city driving ...

Steering "pop"

I have started noticing a "pop" in the steering of my 97 NL 2.8 Pajero. I can feel it in the steering wheel and often clearly hear this "pop". It can happen when turning a corner or when just engaging the clutch while driving straight. I had my mechanic look into it, but he couldn't find anything ...

I regularly check the fuel economy on my NL 2.8ITD and get 12l/100km around the city. Country trips for me are worse at about 13-14l/100km (due to overtaking and sitting on 110-120 kph). The 3.5 V6 should be the reverse and have improved economy for country driving.

Yours will be able to run 33x12.5x15" tyres with a slight cranking of the torsion bars and trimming of the front bumper ends. If you get a bullbar then no probs.

Is it still necessary to trim the front bumper ends with a 2" OME suspension lift? I gather the torsion bars are cranked as part of ...
