I done it in my shorty, just mahe sure the pinion is done up tight and use locktite. Because it is a front diff in the rear and running in reverse the pinion nut can come loose.

In Victoria we have had a win with this issue, unless 4WDVIC the AAA and VACC all agree on a change to the law on modifying a 4WD it will not be passed. This is due to the great work of 4WDVIC who have had many meetings with the government party trying to pass these laws in. This is the reason I ...

I had it done in my shorty, works well and stops any vibration with big lift( I had 4" lift with coil spacers) The only problem is being a front diff in the rear the gears are running in reverse and you must constantly check that the pinion does not come loose. Or use a full bottle of locktite.

the only place an auto will let you down is going down hill as there is little or no engine braking.......everywhere else it wins hands down. Also allows you to be a lot gentler on the running gear. I put reduction gears 85% to help with decents. I now have to accelerate down hill depending on the ...

I had a SWB with a TD42T auto with rockhoppers. Awsome, the crawler gears helped with engine braking down hill. The TD42 with the auto had heaps of torque so I idled up most things instead of putting the peddle to the floor and destroying everything.
