Sierra fuel tanks
Guys,
Does the Sierra utility (1986) use a different fuel tank to the Sierra SWB?
Getting conflicting view points from various wreckers.
Utilities tank is rusted out and I need a replacement.
Anything aftermarket that's reasonably priced and a straight bolt in?
Cheers...

4wd Insurance?
Guys,
Was just told by AAMI that joining a 4wd club would void my insurance policy on the Suzuki. So... I have 14 days to find someone better or do I just never tell them when I join? They also seemed dodgy on what constitutes a "road"...enough to get me thinking they'll take my money and we'll end ...

The new Zook has a Lock-Rite in the back, so this is for the auto-lockers. First impression was that its ... clunk clunk clunk... going around corners if you back off in the corner and coast about. Clunking is accompanied by some mild lurching that pushes you towards the outside of the round-about ...

Guys,
Interesting you mention the Mongrel as I've thought about them as well. But its an extra $50 per tyre and they're directional arent they? Which means either 2 spares or a same size spare of a different brand? Also... most of the Suzuki's work will be on the farm and then a blurt down the road ...

Unless you want to go through and enjoy the process of building up the car, then save your cash and buy one already modified. As an example, I picked up a stock Maruti LWB (1L) for $2000. Now, I've also picked up a LWB Sierra with Gti head, lifted, sprung, locked, tyred, accessorised ...

Motorway Mud-terrains
Guys,
Anyone have experience with the Motorway retreads in Mud-terrain pattern? Interested in putting a set on a Zook as I'm operating on a very limited budget. Looking to fit 30x9.5x15s.
Also, any truth in the rumour that Motorway is in receivership? Hate to buy a set, to then have a warranty ...

I no longer have a Lada as it was written off... but they're generally not worth restoring as you dont get much for them. Not bad in the bush though for a cheap 4WD, but not as capable as a Sierra, primarily because the Lada is harder to modify. Still, they are capable.

Difflock & Driving style
Guys,
Just a query. Just bought a LWB Zook, but this one is tricked out with a LockRight in the back. Never driven a vehicle with auto-locker, so was wondering what to do or not to do whilst driving corners/roundabouts/highways etc... Main issue is will it be driveable/predictable enough for the ...

Eff,
Just a follow up on ARB's Dakar range for the Suzuki Sierra, $841 complete for "light" springs (3+2 leaves), OME shocks, bushes etc... add around $40 for the "heavy" springs(4+2 leaves). Fitting is $350. The springs alone are around $80 each. Quote from ARB Kilsyth.

love_mud,
Absolutely agree, the fitted prices I received where because I was lazy. Then I received a quote for $1500 fitted for the Dakar range from a shop in Shepparton  , they tried to justify the price on 6 hours labour. I walked out laughing and have since decided to choose and fit the ...

Thanks for the replies,
Already have the tyres, set of new remoulded Motorway 215R15 Groundhogs, and when they're gone then I'm hoping to replace with something more aggresive, like the Extreme Trekker 29x7.5x15's. Swaybar came off last week.

2" suspension - EFS vs ARB
Guys,
Finally scrapped (hid from the missus :D ) the cash together to upgrade the Maruti's suspension. One source has highly recommended the EFS and mentioned that the regular ARB is not what it used to be (they sell and install both). The Dakar range is now also becoming available for Suzi's as ...

Loss of engine power
Guys,
With the near freezing conditions in NE Vic, my zook has started playing up. Vehicle is a 93 Stockman ute (Maruti) with the stock 970cc motor. Driving it in the morning its lacking power on the road barely holding 90km/hr. At full throttle it loses power, back off a little and its fine but ...
