Fitting an extra water trap in common rail injection systems is not as straight forward as some people seem to think. If your system has a pusher pump in the tank all is good, but if the system has a sucker pump combined with the high pressure pump it can be over loaded and fail,big $'s. Not ...

A question for the diesel experts out there. Is it acceptable to put metho in a plastic diesel fuel tank (common rail injection) to disperse a very small volume of water?

I think you need to check the alignment of the alternator pulley first, if you fix that it will save you a lot of stuffing around.
Lots of vehicles run high output alternators and std vee belts.

It doesn't matter it is connected to a heating element when on 12v. will draw about 8amps or more though, so don't leave it connected for too long with the engine not running.

Check the retaining screws that hold the rocker shafts are still in place. They can fall out and allow oil to squirt direct into breather on the rocker cover and if they get under the cam, a lobe is capable of pushing the screw through the head into the water jacket.
