just on tyre sizes i've ran 295/75 16 bfg AT under my 3L (stock height suspension) and didn't really notice any loss of power.... they did srub a little under full flex.. but so did the stock 265's if i tried hard enough currently running mickey thompson FCII's (back to a 285/75/16) and i find they ...

got a 3' mandrel right through on mine with a straight through muffler... sounds nice...(for a diesel) and gets a nice turbo whistle... i even have passengers looking round for cops at times from the sound

only cost me 600 bucks and has probably increased the grunt by 15% or so

yea there would be bugger all people interested in buying a standard stereo unit cause an aftermarket one more often than not is better quality and has a hell of a lot more features for a fraction of the price

not really answering your question but i was reading in the latest 4wd monthly about a dual transfer case setup for the gu's basically halves the reduction again... gives you 2 low range selections here's the link if your interested.... it certainly caught my eye.... might be too much of a pain to ...

Nissan I doubt would fix any problem (even out of warrantee) unless it occurred first. Where'd you be if the engine blows in tthe desert or the box drops a gear. Early versions have been known to be susceptable to these probs and unless proof can be supplied of being fixed don't touch em. my ...

naa the pre 2002 models had the gearbox troubles... and i heard the real early ones had gudgeon problems...

should be all good though... even if you do but a 01 or 02 gu with a dodgy gearbox... nissan have been fixing them out of warranty... they only did mine last week (late 01 model)
