ok, so my 1999 GU dx 4.2 wagon met an untimely end a few weeks back and its been written off as a repairable write off.

I've bought the wreck back from the insurance company, and because the td42 wagons for sale are as rare as hens teeth i and am now in the market for another one to swap the td42 ...

don't know if i missed the memo regarding the media blackout about this comp or whatever... seems a bit odd as to why no one has really posted up anything, no results, no photos (except for the link to digital still), especially considering it was the first round and all...

great weekend... spent most of it following Tuff Turtle, it was great to see it hold up as well as it did... cause it meant less time that i'd have to spend helping fix it... haha...

RUFF is looking to go international with Outerlimits... Germany ...

The run starts and finishes at the same point and there is no road on this run, and plenty of room to park trailers and tow rigs off the road.

So its a good chance for all those comp guys with trailer rigs to come out and have a play.

Where - Logan Village Pine Forest - Enter under the Powerlines off Waterford-Tamborine Road, 2nd Pylon in.

When - 6.00pm Meet - 7.00pm Leave 18/07/09

What - it is a mapped night run - 3 maybe 4 checkpoints, if you want to complete the checkpoints lockers and aggressive tyres are recommended ...

after 2 days of competing and running around there's nothing worse than a 3hr+ drive in the dark to get home, especially if once you get home you still have to unpack everything so your ready for work the next day...

good to see 20 or so cars still turn up despite the weather, luckily the ran stayed away for the night, although the bit that did fall during the day certainly made the tracks a fair bit more difficult...

Ive got em in my GQ Shorty, TD42T 10psi boost, twin locked, 36" iroks. They've been there so far for 1 comp, plus maybe 6 or so medium to hard trips, cant complain yet, no clicking or anything coming from the front end.

Blew the rear uni on my 92 GQ swb (diesel), was looking at getting that fixed as a spare, but was wondering if an MQ rear shaft out of a swb will bolt up?

if there a certain type i should be looking for??

Or if anyone in the Ipswich area has a rear shaft out of a GQ/MQ they dont need??

Have just bought myself some heat treated haultech CV's to replace my unbroken but flogged out CV's and cant seem to get the CV and Axel to separate.
