45 Series Troop Carrier This is a longer wheelbase version of the 40. This truck was spotted in Costa Rica. This style was not generally available in the USA although some were imported discreetly. Australia got their first FJ45 troopies in 1976, these were all soft top models with full hard doors ...

I could always pull the good 2F out of the troopy and put it in the 60 series, do the 2 engine swaps as the motor in the troopy is realy good and strong, the guy who used to own it told me he had it rebuilt and used only quality parts, cost him a fortune he stated.

V8 Conversion or what?

My old 60 series has been playing up with the current need of a carby, radiator, etc, now they say the motor is almost buggered, whats a 3F worth, its a 2F and looks old, but were wondering, this vehicle used to have a V8 in it, you can see where the mounts were cut and replaced, how easy is it to ...

Converting to a V8

thinking why not, the wagon is a bit slow, its a FJ62, it has a 2F in it on gas, it has previously been a V8 powered beast but I think they changed it back to sell. Will a 350 bock bolt straight onto the 5 speed, which would be better for both power and ecomical, 253, 308 or 350? Would I need to get ...

40 inch tyres and body lift.

Just a thought, I would love to lift my troopy, you see the shorties lifted all the time, but not troopies. Mate has a shortie and he reckons I could run 40 inch tyres, most people state that the motor will not turn them (2F) but he reckons sure, it will just go a bit slower. Who needs speed?? So ...

Apart from the rust. It has a vibration, like, I remember when I had a HX 253, I damaged the Alternator fan, it is vibrating like that, my brother is a bit of an expert and he seems to think I may have picked something up under the car, but you rev the engine and it is still vibrating, I am thinking ...

My old man had a EH holden wagon, took the gearbox out and rebuilt it on the side of a gravel road once, it broke down, he pulled it out and fixed it, took him 2 hours.

Dad was a bit of a bushy mechanic.
