On a search I found this '

I belive that Suziworx or similar sell a 1500cc Kit for the 1300 motor, as far as I am aware there is no way of making a 1.3 a 1.6 without spending mega$$ (would be WAY cheaper to install and enginer a 1.6)'

Can I fit a MPI head?

Boring out 1.3 to 1.6?

Can I bore out my 85 Sierra from 1.3 litres to 1.6? I have been looking at Vitara transplants but the cost of them from the wreckers has got me thinking about alternatives. I have seen 1.3 litre rebuild kits for $550. I am assuming it would not be much more for larger pistons. I bore out my 1.3 to 1 ...

I hope this is not seen as highjacking corza's thread, I an considering a G13bb (Jimny) for my 85 Sierra. I rang up for quotes for a complete engine, loom, computer etc and I am getting quotes in the high $2XXX. For example $2900 for G13bb from SUZI 4 (Aust Jimny not import). This seems a lot higher ...

What type off roll bars are legal in Oz wide

I'm currently thinking of buying a Drover at the moment for $1000 rust free with 300k. However if I buy it I want to put a full internal cage in it as I have mates who we badly hurt in a Sierra in the early 90’s (they feel a bit small after ownership of Cruisers, Rovers and Paj’s). However I move ...

Swapping J Top for J top

A 1995, 2.8 TD auto has come up for sale near me at a reasonable price. I'm thinking of buying it and changing over from my 1991, 3.0 V6 manual. I like the concept of the J tops (Ive owned the current one for the last 4 years) but dislike the current fuel economy average of 13.9l per 100km (7.2km to ...

3.2 DID Conversion

4ePajero,
Do you have any more info on the 3.2 DiD conversion? I was recently looking at a written off 2004 DiD at Fowles auctions for $5000 AUS. I think the Engine and auto would go well in my NH J top. How did you get the correct ratio diffs?

Twinnie, I got a rebuilt ECU for a SWB NH 3l (red J Top) for $250 in Canberra six months ago. Talk to Trill (female mechanic) at Braddon Shell Servo. I'm a fan of the tray but the front end looks like a Magna. You would of thought Mitsubishi would have learnt by now that Australian's have rejected the styling theme. Is this theme popular with other parts of the world? Still credit to them for being bold.

2.8TD Delica Auto in SWB NH Paj

Has anyone heard of someone putting a 2.8TD Delica Auto in a previously equipped 3.0V6 gen 2 Paj? They seem to be a cheap half cut option, though I think you would have to factor in a turbo rebuild and possibly an engine freshen up. The idea of diesel economy interests me, the auto the wife. I was ...

I have seen some of these tops while I was in Japan a while ago. Only my opinion but they are pretty ugly in a 'not quite' Paris Dakar looking way. There is a NZ made equivalent that is far better made, almost looks stock Paj. They were selling them in Slacks Creek, QLD for $3000 about 3 years ago ...

Freelander Question

G'day, I usually lurk in the Pajero Forum as I am an owner of a 91 SWB J Top Pajero. I'm thinking of buying a 2.0 turbo Freelander as they appear to economical and it appears that I can buy a good one for under 20K. My major problem with them is the height of the drivers seat base, at 6 foot, my ...

J Top Roof info

While I was in Japan last week I bought a new soft top for the Paj. It cost 99,000 Yen or at current exchange rates about AUS$1,200. Mitsubishi dont keep them in stock as it is an old model (an NH SWB J Top is $1800 at auction there- approx price as a new roof). I was quoted 50 days to manufacture ...

5 speed, 3l, NH. Jap import J Top. I changed fluids 40,000km ago so I know they were right. I have been getting syncro troubles with the 3rd to 2nd downshift. I had these when I bought it, but synthetic oil cured it. I'm hopeing a oil change will do the same.

Oil migration

I was doing a major service on the Paj today. before I dropped the gearbox oil I checked the level. It was way overfull, unfortunately I had already dropped the transfer case oil with out checking the level. Are Pajs similar to Landcruisers in having problems with oil migration between the cases.
