Re: landcruiser stubs as trailer axle

Hi all...dont forget to take your tyre ratings into consideration,4wd tyres are rated about a 1000kg each,so going to 2 ton is about your limit on single axle.

Hi all...Foam filters cake up to a point they can get completely blocked. For cars,4wd,industrial machinery ect it would mean way to much maintenance,To the point it wouldnt get done.Oiled foam filters arent really a practical option in the real world.
Dirtbikes however get riden on weekends,If your ...

Re: Polyairs and effect on full flex????

Hi all...The OTL is over rated as a tough 4wd track,Subaroo's do it with ease. They even put a dozer thru the Gunshot every couple of years. Its a must do track though.

Re: still can't choose- 12HT 60 or 1hz 80

I know im late but 1hz to a 12Ht is like chalk and cheese. 12HT wins in every category, hp figures don't mean anything with these engines as the 12ht feels like it has 100 hp more than the 1hz. Direct injection, no timing belt changes, simple in design and unreal on fuel. stick a 3 inch strait ...

Hi all...Your better off getting rid of that gearbox and transfer and getting a gearbox and transfere out of the hdj factory turbo model,Or one out of the 80 series. You wont break that box or trans.

Toyota recognised the problem with the old head design with the release of the 79/100ser in 99 they put a radius on the precom hole in the head which helps but isnt a solution to the real problem.

I had the bigend bearing replace to satisfy myself for reliability/longevity.Once we had a look at the pistons, the top ring groove on most pistons was worn badly. So we replaced with turbo spec slugs. We decided to rip the head off,Precoms were cracked.Fixed it and fitted a thicker head gasket ...

Mine had 8psi and cracked its head. Precombustion chambers expand and contract at different rates to the rest of the head and make it crack.
