Ok what the fuck, just went out to have another mess around with the wires, and before I did anything I thought I'd give em another try, and now they seem to be working fine?!?! Fucking weird, this sorta shit happens to me all the time!
Oh well, thanks for the help!

Thanks for the reply mate. The lights aren't hooked up to the headlights in anyway and that's how I want it (provided it works!) because I just want to be able to turn them on when the car is on and when the switch is on. I guess I'll have a mess around with the earthed wires, see if anything I do ...

Well today I had some free time so I went to jaycar, bought 2 relays, a bunch of wire, a fuse and holder, and some heatshrink. I wired my 4 spotties up, connected everything to the correct terminals, flicked the switch, and .... nothing. Checked the fuses, all fine. Double checked connections, seem ...

anyone in aus actually done the 5/7mge swap?
I'm having a prick of a time sourcing a mid 80s supra with either a manual 7/5mge engine in it, in hobart they just dont exist or they can for the price of $2000 upwards. fk that. If I could find something in VIC I'd be willing to drive up and get something done over there, but at this stage I just ...

noob light wiring question
Just bought 4 cheapy spot lights for the top of my roll bar. They each have a ground wire which is attached to the base (metal) so they are already earthed. So if I wanted to run the 4 wires down into the engine bay somewhere, and for them all to run off the one switch inside the cab, what do I need ...

Thanks for that mate, I assumed something similar because I just couldnt find any info about the swap, so I figured it wouldn't be a very good one to do. I just thought I'd try my luck cos I could get the motor on the cheap. I might have to think about something more fesible, v6 commodore perhaps or ...

3F into Hilux?
So my mate has just put a 308 in his cruiser and he's got the 3F lying around. What are the chances of getting this motor into my 4Y hilux? Main interests are: - cost - time - much to know All that sorta shit, basically just wondering if it would fit. Also I've tried searching for a while on here ...

So I dropped my car off at Dynamic Welding And Engineering early friday morning. I talked to the bloke who was going to be making my bar and he showed me the roll bar he made for his hilux across the road. This made me feel a lot better because at least I knew this bloke knew what he was doing, and ...

4Y engine upgrade
I've got a 4Y in the old 85 lux. It's a gutless piece of shit, so what engines are compatable with the least amount of money being spent on mounting and stuff like that? I've had a search and couldn't find that much info about doing it. A V8 is most likely going to be too much work/money so even ...
