Re: Toperi 2011 26th-27th November

Fark that's gonna be cold. Reckon we'll be there late tomorrow night, bailing work at lunch to pick up the new car trailer and fit the new beadlocks  Look out for the two Rangies with the new white paintjob, it won't help us get further up the tracks but you'll be able to see us when we ...

Bump.

Mark can you please post up the date that scrutineering for the new rnd 1 date will be?

How strict is the rule on where the exhaust ends? Ours goes through a muffler and finishes about 10 inches before the diff. Wanna know if I need to get it extended or will it be okay?

Good info Scott, thanks for that. That's essentially my plan, pulling the old blocks and going to the bolt place, but at the moment the Paj is my only transport while the motorbike awaits rego (or rather, while my bank balance prepares for rego). By the sounds of it the rear bolts are longer than ...

Gen1 Bodylift bolt length

Any chance anyone's got some info on factory body mount bolt lengths? Got some 40mm blocks ready to go in, and it'd just save time and running around if I didn't have to pull the bolts out first to get measurements.

Cheers Brendan

Went through half a dozen different oils trying to find a quiet one when I first got it until a mate suggested Fuchs 25W60, which he reckoned quieted down their old 6G72 Triton. Difference is huge! Before it used to tick like a bastard, now when it's cold it'll tick for ...

Need someone to make a custom battery tray in Sydney

As above, can anyone suggest someone who can make me a custom battery tray somewhere in Sydney this week? Prefer somewhere around Silverwater/West Ryde area. Battery's big, don't have dimensions right now but it's a fair chunk longer than an N70. Tray just needs two legs coming off it and the edges ...

He's only joking about the 6in lift, it would make the vehicle absolutely undriveable on any type of cross slope and useless offroad. Question is why do you want to body lift the vehicle? Good point there. What I meant to say was us normal people, plus the small contingent that enjoy air fresheners a little too much.

Silly question but 'general camping' means feral hill right? I.e. the ratbags are moving, and us normal people actually get a chance at a nice spot up the top under the trees?

stuck trying to get old drums over new shoes

As the title says - I've fitted new shoes to my 88 Pajero's rear end but for the life of me cannot get the drums back over them. I've backed the adjuster right off as far as it'll go, but there's still a good 5mm of room I need to make to fit the drum on. It's kind of like the pistons in the slave ...
