ended up getting a 75 steering column today nice and cheap. This has two uni's, 1/2 of one has the smaller 75 spline and 1/2 of the other has the 55 spline - both have the same diameter end caps. So i took the two yokes to a drive shaft guy today and he's going to check he can get the correct size ...

fuel pump / filter setup
This is the setup I am planning on using for my motor swap (40 sereis 2F > EFI Lexus 1UZ V8). Can anyone see any problems with this? Will i need a low pressure lift pump between the tank and the filter?
