Re: IS there any after market suspension you'd not recommend
Most shocks are too firm for a SWB. We use Oztec shocks for the average budget because they have a soft and a cargo valving. We also make shocks that are a little more expensive. Ask for Shane at Suspension Stuff and I will take you for a drive, ie that is if comfort is important to you. We are at ...

Re: will series 4 gu suspension fit 99 gu coil cab ute?
Panhard rods will not fit, keep them for your Ute. You will need a different steering damper bracket for the drag link for the Series 2+ GU Wagon. Steering damper is different. Springs will work, nothing a coil spacer won't fix if it doesn't sit perfect. Shocks will work. Upper and lower trailing ...

No I haven't tried these ones. I am more cautious these days. I have sold not so great rubber radius arm bushes before and had to warranty every single person I sold them to and it is a pain to change them over.
Very cheap though.

I agree, yeah not good to bag out products but I am passionate about this. Unless you have purchased a kit very recently you are commenting on very different products. It is like having OME products and saying Ironman are awesome because you did 100,000km on OME. For those who are interested in ...

Re: 3 inch lift in gq
We have 3 or 4 mates all currently running 3 inch EFS kits in patrols and cruisers following them seeing positive results with mine. You don't need all the other shit (Drop Boxes) for 95 % of applications. Castor correction is certainly wise however and not that expensive. You may even find you won ...

Re: 3 inch lift in gq
You can only get poly castor correction bushes for the right correction for a 3" lift however poly bushes reduce flex big time and increase road vibration through the vehicle. We recommend 2 degree rubber castor correction bushes that are perfect for a 2" lift but still fine for a 3" lift. Drop ...

Re: tripple bypass shocks on gq patrol rear
Heaps of flex with the rears at 565mm passenger side, 580mm drivers side for a 3" lift which allows for a 6" shock which is 765mm extended. I suspect that the front coils won't be that impressive but still more flex then a normal coil. I think if you get more flex then a regular front coil then you ...

Internal Bypass sounds like the go. Please don't take this as a sales pitch or thread hijack (you can if you like) but you may be interested in some coils I am about to bring out for race Patrols. The idea is to have a comfort ride at ride height but quickly go stiffer in the coil for cornering and ...

Wizard Performance use to do the reverse taper on GU's only (GQ's already bolt the drag links underneath the pitman arm) and panhard rod drop to match but he hasn't done them for ages and so doesn't have the tapers anymore.

Re: Back to 5-link idea... Where to buy one
He is saying if you have a 5" lift with 37's get arms to suit a 4" lift. I don't necessarily subscribe to this theory but I am open to it and have no evidence. A 5 link will flex more then superflex arms when climbing something but you really get too much flex unless your arms are very short like a ...

The first is way too soft. I need more details on the 298/36?? These are not real figures but if it is 2980/3600 then it will be too soft on rebound and too firm on compression. If the 36 stands for 360 then way to soft on compression. By the way TJM suck compared to Bilstein remote reservoir. Matt ...

Re: More flex out of level panhards? True or false?
Technically, as the panhard pull the diff to one side eventually the trailing arm bushes at the rear and control arm bushes at the front etc tend to bind up reducing downward and upward pressure, and the bushes tend to not last very long. In reality though as Superior said, flex isn't a problem with ...

Re: More flex out of level panhards? True or false?
It is far far better for drivability or bump steer to drop the mounts on the chassis not raise at axle. In fact raising the mounts on the axle won't help at all. If you raise the mount on the axle housing and hit a bump on that wheel the vehicle will still shimmy because the vertical bracket will ...

Re: Coil Tower & shocky mount mods
If you lower the upper mounts on the front shock tower you have to lower your bump stops the same so for a 4" lift you would have to lower your bump stops 4 inches. Most people are tyring to raise their shock towers because a 4 inches longer shock is 2 inches longer on compression so you have to ...

Re: More flex out of level panhards? True or false?
no because you would be stock standard.
If you drop the mounting points you have to make sure you do the same for the drag link otherwise you would get wicked bump steer. Keep drag link reletively parallel to the panhard rods.
Beyond level is best for flex.

Re: Drop boxes or not?
Drop boxes by far. Spend an extra $1000 on dropped radius arms and you are going backwards for ride quality. It doesn't matter how you shape a dropped radius arm they will still push the diff forward as the suspension compresses. Poly bushes are useless and rubber castor correction bushes only give ...

The front the castor has been corrected in the new springs and the new springs SHOULD be longer so the shackles sits the same.
