I'd seriously consider the Paj over the Prado - I have had both (now onto a Troll). Comfort wise the Paj was better, the Prado was more responsive - but it was a modified vehicle and chipped engine. I did have issues with CV's on the Prado (two in 6 months). The paj was great - and a fantastic ...

Follow the advice - blind up, spray any L.B.T's and cary a spare filter. Either a home made blind or get a Michelles Sac's one .Dust will get in so keep up your maintenance. As for a snork - there must be a few decent custom places up there that could do a stainless steel version for ...

Mate had a 2000 model Prado 3ltr. Couldnt fault it for comfort on and off road. It was modified, locked, lifted, chipped. The only issue i had was with the front CV's (2 in six months) but i did use it as an off roader. Are you limiting to a Prado or just a midsized 4x4? Consider the Paj, or even ...

Can't really go wrong with a Paj, for touring and some h.duty offroad. Limited by its specs when compared to the yotas or trolls. For a tourer I'd go the 95 series Prado. Size and comfort as standard IMHO are better than the 3.0ltr Patrol. Off road they are as good as each other.

So the great debate starts again - whats cars the best???
Your not going to do any insane 4x4ing - so no need for a locked, loaded, lifted anything.
IMHO - look at the Paj - NL preferably - a 3.5ltr. Yes it has Torsion Bars so lifting is limited but cranking the bars will easily give you a 50mm ...

Cant vouch for their quality in sand but they are wicked in mud, rocks and road - so check out the Silverstones m117s. Even the M117extremes - but they would (as its a similar pattern to the JT and / or ET ) probably dig a nice pit in the sand.

Run M117S on the Pwado (yeah I up graded  ). Also ...

Yep the 33's rub on the Pwado as well. Have taken the grinder to it (as far as i dare) and the hammer. Now they only rub on full lock under compression (even the slightest) but it just sounds bad - when these 285/75's are gone then i'll consider dropping to 32" or narrower ones. Mud gets everywhere ...
