abs does disengage below a given speed not sure what it is but i wouldnt imaging it being a problem when 4wding.... I wouldn't bet on that. In my 4.8 Auto trying to reverse down a loose hill the abs kick in when I got onto the really loose stuff causing me to come down the hill a lot faster than I ...

can just imagine what the HID LF are like as I have the XGT's on the Ute. Comparing the HID LF 50 watters to XGT's would be something like comparing one of these in the piccy below to GO-LO AAA everyready torch. The prices I have from local guys are: 285/70/17 BFG MT are $380 ea 33/12.5/17 MT Claws are $368 ea No price for MTR as they not out in 17's yet. You city boys would get a better price and you can not compare prices against at set of 16 or 15 as the options in 17 is very limited at the moment.

I see you have MTR's for road. What sort of Km's and how noisey are they?

Also would you be better to run a Pirelli for on road if your so concerned about safety? :D

Thanks Scott - My mistake the BFG M/T's are 285/70/17.

Bigsteve - The Patrol is a daily driver and we do a lot of on and off road km's so I dont really want the hassel of swapping rims when I want to have a play. Bartso - I'm leaning towards the Claws, just for something different as everyone up here run BFG A/T's or M/T's. I just dont know much about ...

BFG Muddies Vs MT Baja Claw Radial Vs Goodyear MTR's

Guys, When the new Patrol arrives I'm ditching the Bridgestone’s for a better tyre. I want to keep the 17inch alloys so this restricts my options. I currently run BFG muddies on my Navara and have used them before as well. My question is to Claw and MTR owners. What type of Km's and how bad is the ...

Depends on what your needs are. I went for the Navara because of the comfort and the bling bling of the interior compared to the bland and smaller interior of the Hilux. Also the biggest advantage is the power / torque of the ZD30 engine of Nissan. The Navara ZD30 runs a different turbo setup to the ...

My understanding is the 2.8 Turbo has an internal waste gate that control boost via a diafram linked to the intake manifold (same as all nissan TD). Once the boost exceeds the factory set limit the waste gate dumps the excess gasses (into the exhaust, i think). For a BOV to work you need a Turbo ...
