Body lift -pop the boots and trim the trans tunnel.

Busted mount - will cause trans to move and pop it into 2WD -L

Also, if the bolts are loose on the support bracket it will pivot allowing the selector to move forward into 2WD-L

You're better off taking the hub off the car and supporting it as you knock the studs out, otherwise you may bend the hub. And you're better off knocking them back in rather than pulling them in with the wheel nuts, strong possibility you can strip the nut/stud.

The 33s or 35s will def help top speed....it just might be a bit slower getting there...

IIRC - Use DBA slotted 60 rotors, later 4 pot (twin 45mm) calipers(Runner or 80s), and the m/cyl off the Runner or 80s.
and wear your seatbelt

It'll cost you bout $18K for a basic 1HD-FTE/transmission conversion into a 105.

Had the same prob with my 105......checked the brgs, wheel alignment etc. Tracked it down to the tyres, they'd gone hard and out of round etc....

How are the springs 'held' together? That is, are the clamps around the leaves tight, or do they have a gap at the top to allow them to 'open up' during droop..? Are the extended shackles greasable? Had Ultimate springs under my 60 for 12 (?) years, great product.
Couldnt kill them, even loaded to the gunnels for the Simpson towing a trailer couldnt break em.

If the switch checks out ok, check out the wiring loom that runs under the steering column esp at the large blue(?) plug. My old 60 had a prob of flashing high beam at all weird and wonderful times (like as a cop car went past...). The insulation had melted and allowed several wires to short out ...

The 'update' model (quad lights, better dash, and LSD) came out 7/87.

Ive blown the arse out of a oil pressure sender (hides under the edic motor on the drivers side rear of a 2H) and made a huge mess....thankfully I was idling out of a carpark and wondered why the motor cutout(low oil pressure!)
New sender and topped the oil, good as new!

ok, i have 2 HJ6xs One is a HJ60 (round headlight) the other is a HJ61/2 (duel square headlights).. the HJ60(round headlight) has a bottom end noise, that i can be farked trying to fix, so i bought the HJ61/2(duel square headlights)... so the plan is to swap the 2H from one to the other, solving ...
