it doesn't take much movement, but if the car dropped to idle then i'd look at the throttle sensor first.

OK
once-a-pon-a-time i used to live in NZ and i also had a trials zook with an SU
use a 1 1.2 inch SU, mine had a piece of mini (BMC) manifold welded to a cut-down zook one. it ran fine and i do mean fine.
if i was to do it again i would use EFI ( a lot less problems in the long run)
if you "cut ...

did you lift your foot off the acelerator? even slightly, did a bump in the road allow your foot to move off ?
remember that the throttle position sensor will cut the injectors if you lift your foot, this is to stop the car for over fueling and back firing.
my jimny has this problem, if you lift ...

the AW4 will need crossmember modifications to fit into a 1.3l sierra, it only just fits into a 1L.
and it's too long for a shorty, you'll end-up with a real short tail shaft.
go for the 3spd, its a hole lot easyer to fit.

don't settle on a stick welder, get your self a MIG. you'll kick yourself if you end up needing one later.
you will have to hunt around for a cheepy though. i got mine at a garage sale for $500, its a BIG 190amp mig and came with everything. i don't even know it's duty cycle, but i have welded non ...

for get about the merc arms they are junk.
the best option is the snake high steer.
but if you are on a budget then get your hands on a drop pitman arm. this is what i used 10 years ago to cure the steering on my spring over zook, the arm i got was a "trail master" 3" drop pitman arm. this left ...

the question is why do you need a SPRING OVER zook?
what size tire are you going to run, a 40-44?
anything else can be run spring under, and without any lift

, i've done it

it doesn't matter what the ring & pinion look like, if you have driven more than 5km on them they are stuffed. you can re-build the diff but it will make a lot of noise and will eventually break the ring and pinion.
your ring & pinion will have wear, if they have been driven on this makes it worse ...

well if the pinion is moving around in there, you will need to rebuild your diff, with new bearings etc..
but thats a separate problem

as Steve said.
i have had this happen to my diff, and it was professionally installed
took it back to them and the bolts had "backed" out, letting the diff "open-up" and Jam. they put the bolts back in with lock-tight and torqued them up 4 years later no problems. and I’m still running the same ...

an alloy one...
alloy is illeagal in all forms of competition, as it "work hardens" and becomes brittle.
next time you see and alloy bar have a look at the inside of the radius on the main bends, you will see lots of hair-line cracks. every alloy roll bar that i have seen has these.
but go ...

the only difference in the track width, between a jimny and a coily is all in the rims. the CV's are the same size, and i think the circlip is in a different place. they will fit and run properly with or without the circlip
this doesn't make them easier to find. and from Suzuki they come with the ...

they drive all right, they are a bit nose heavy, and tend to sit on the front. good for climbing but can be real scary coming down and on serious off-cambers. you will get used to it though.

just look for scratch's on the chassis noear the rear control arm mount, they get hooked up on this all the time. so if it's done some real 4wding there will be marks.
it will have flogged out wheel bearings on the front, and these will have choo'd out the hubs and stubs. they all do it. so see if ...
