So can anyone tell me either the length of the twin piston bolt so I can go searching at the bolt shop for a replacement or the Nissan part number ...

We have one nearly indentical as this at work with different name on it, not the best welder to use by far but has done a bit of work now with no problems. But you do get what you pay for.

Re: Recommendations for a TIG.

Cheers 91 Mav.
I have my current BOC MIG that Im actually very happy with as far as welding with goes.
I might pop over to a welding joint when I get a chance and look at seeing if I can get a gun with the teflon liner as you recommend or the gun with the small wire spool that will fit it.
Either ...

Recommendations for a TIG.

Hi all
I am chasing up some recommendations for a TIG for home use.
I will be starting out with it and want to weld up some aluminium toolboxs etc for my camp trailer further down the track so I know it has to be an AC unit.
I am not looking for top of the line stuff here like a professional would ...

Re: 600 holley on a 253...too big?

Agree on a 350.
Also to improve torque out of sight fit a set of venturi sleeves to the 350.
A stock 253 has less vacuum then a 202. The sleeves get the air speed up and helps torque and throttle responce no end.

It will be nothing structural just some aluminum airbox and inlet piping for my junk.

I bought a whale for my one.
From memory it pumps 11 litres a minute but isnt at mains pressure. Does the job well for us. Cost $50 from a boating place.
We also have the caravan plunger tap for the sink. When you turn the whale on it just pushes the plunger up with the water pressure. Reason I went ...

Polycararbonate sheeting is not street legal in motor vechiles from memory.

Smartlock bypass is available and easy to do.

Extending the push rod from the slave to the fork would work but would make the release bearing run against the clutch all the time.
Not the best thing to do.
