thanks for the info ended up drainng fuel tank just incase replaced injector pump and had injectors done up then dyno,ed again going like it should now

haveing a few troubles with 2.8 turbo diesel rebuilt motor was starting to lose power was getting heaps of blow by pressurizing the sump after rebuild wasnt producing much power ran it in then went and had dyno was only pulling 40kw rw brought it home checked all timing crank,pump,cam was right all ...

thanks for the info guys did a bit of ringing around and it seem only the imports have stronger components not your run of the mill 2.8 but like you said they seem strong enough found full rebuild kit for $600 should be back in to it by friday thanks again
