Disco Brakes petrol v diesel

Can anyone tell me if the brake booster, master cyl is the same on both petrol or diesel disco 1's???

I am looking at a second hand booster/master cyl to install in my rangie with 3.9, but the donor disco is diesel, should it be OK??

It also fits very well on the rover manifold, check the "post your rover" forum for pics of my system. I have just organised a LPG injection system for my parents BA Falcon ...

RR215 has made a very good point, just get in and drive it, mine had a 308, arb diff lock on 29" road tyres, i went out a few times, some pretty nasty stuff and had a ball, bent ...

You could try driving it with the radiator cap not pressurised, it may reduce the amount of fluid loss...

Ye Old Rangie, If you are interested in doing a 308, i am sort of wrecking a Schuler which had RED 308 fitted, very good conversions. I drove it into a bog hole at excessive speed and drowned it. What is a full rewire worth? Ball park will do!

I'm thinking of doing my 77 rangie to solve a heap of problems.
Mine will end up costing between $1,500-$2,000 depending on how much stuff i keep adding!
