Is it a 1kz-te or a 5L or 5LE with an aftermarket turbo? I haven't been too impressed with the fuel figures the guys I know with 1kz-te's get around here. The new Hilux D4D 2.5's and 3.0's are way better on fuel. It's a 1kz-te factory. My brother has a D4D and he is getting WAY better economy... It ...

Unless you do a full workover - I wouldn't recommend it. I was only running 4 pound boost. It'll go like a ...

What's your driving style like? I used to get around 420kms per 58L fillup (of a 66L tank) in my 03 2.8 non-turbo Hilux. It's all city driving over here with frequent stops and starts. I recently adjusted my driving style to a lot slower acceleration and shift at 2000rpm and now I'm getting about ...

Hey Mate,
They are of benifit - But you need a car kit with a cradle to adapt your phone to the connector (generally FME type) of the ariel.
You really do notice the diff while country driving.

Hi Folks, Have a 3.0ltr RB30 motor in the GQ... Can anyone tell me the amp rating on the standard alternator that came on these motors? Also perhaps suggest an alternator (I'm told the a commo VS/VT etc...) around the 100amp capacity that would suit or easily be moded to suit that motor? Cheers Matt

Looking at buying a HJ60
The truck is in Excellent condition but the Glow Plugs are a bit lazy in the morning. You need to glow it two or three time but then it cranks over no dramas.
Whats it cost roughly to get a new set put in?
