2.5 tdi auto tranny

have a 2.5tdi (4d56) with an auto tranny and i it's due for some fluid change. Can anyone provide some info on this tranny:

1. total capacity of atf needed. complete atf change or just a draining what's in the oil pan.
2. how do you properly check the atf level?
