Are you talking about the fuel empty light or something else? I'm wondering if you are talking about the gauges that refer to water in the air filter box or a problem in the fuel filter area? There are sensors around these things that have indicators on the dash. I haven't seen one on my dash that ...

I moved mine to the right side. I didn't check if its legal, but haven't been pulled over and when I went through a breath test they didn't say anything. Plenty of Turbo VL's getting around with them like that, but lets not talk about the quicker quarter mile time when you get 3cm squared more fresh ...

I had a similar problem, but a new fan clutch fixed it. The previous one had only been on for under 2 years. Both being non genuine. I haven't changed the oil in the fan clutch, just replaced it and it fixed the problem. Not saying that this will be your problem as well but, Do you have anything ...

Don't bother with the factory sub, it makes a great spot for a HUGE Amp! In the front doors, there are cutouts for 6" speakers if you can get ones that are shallow and the grills have to be thin to clear the dash when you close the doors. If you can put some sound deadening stuff on the inside of ...

Re: few 80 series questions
Hi all, Have a few queries: Fitting of GXL rear seats in to a Standard (middle row)? Are the petrol 4.5 and 1hz fan shrouds the same? 4.5 litre and 1hz water temp sensors the same? 91 1hz subtank soonoid, is a blue marlin petrol one compatabile (unsure of year)? Cheers, Chris Chris, The rear seats ...

Re: 80 series. Antenna Replacement
How the hell do i get the broken one off and a new one on. Tried for 15mins last night and not even close. I got to mine through the engine bay. Have to remove one large relay box which only has one bolt so it's easy, then you can get your hand in there. Getting the new wire through the firewall ...

I've got the 9500pound Ironman winch with the wireless remote and newer solenoid. Works great and drags the 80 up and out of anything. I've used the pulley block couple of times but only coz of the angle when assisting another car up a hill. It's got plenty of grunt even without the pulley block. I ...

I wouldn't recommend towing without the level rides. It levels out your car and it also helps to reduce sway. Once you have had the "sway experience" once, you won't want it to happen again. With the level rides its easy to get it to tow nicely. There are two brands out there I would look out for ...

Strange?? Is there a hole under the control box? Bazzle No, the wires go straight out the back. I mounted it that way not to block air flow. I had to move the plug around to the front of the box and seal the side hole which you can't see from the front. But I've never used the plug as the wireless ...

Best option is to rotate the clutch housing so the clutch release handle is at the top of the winch, you will only need a large enough hole for the lever to stick out of. I was thinking of doing that but in my case the winch isn't high enough in the bar to get near the handle, you'd need a decent ...

I'll give you a real life example. I've got an 80 with a 1hz and AXT turbo kit. No intercooler, but I've fitted a pyro after the turbo to measure the temps and the AXT 2.5 inch mandrel exhaust kit. I do regular towing, short distances but with around 2-2.5 tonnes. When you are not towing the car is ...

I had the same thing happen to my 80. I had changed the box because it was leaking and about a month after I had the same problem. At idle, no assistance and when I revved it up, I got assistance. I then had to change the pump. I got a steering place to do both, so I got a warranty, but I haven't ...

I've also got the 1hz with aftermarket turbo and I find it depends on your driving style. During take off, give it a slight rev before letting out the clutch and it'll smoke less. I find if I just let the clutch go without an initial bit of accelerator, I get more smoke. Also, if you are rolling and ...

You can connect any aftermarket alarm that has central locking control to the wires on the 80. From memory they are in the drivers kick panel. Can you get an Anderson plug double adaptor. I need 2 outlets at the back 1 for the Engel and 1 for the camper. I was hoping i did not have to cut and splice the wires that are there If you don't want to touch the existing wires there, you could buy three anderson plugs and make up a double adapter ...

80 Series Door Light diode question
Hi, I've got an 80 Series and looking through the wiring diagrams there are a couple of diodes in the setup. Basically, it means when you open the drivers door, only the front section will illuminate, rear door only and the rear section will light up. These diodes stop the flow. I want to remove ...

I've got an ironman winch that came with an isolator switch for under the bonnet near the battery. I did upgrade to a stronger Narva style isolator, its two way so I can select which battery I want ...
