heres where im up to. got heaps to go. got a new sill to put in on the drivers side....also my idea for attaching the roof is by using a piece of steel cut/bent/welded to match the shape of the roof and then riveting it in place inside the cab and using fibre glass to fill the join on the rear ...

ive been thinkin about this...i used to have a disco V8 that was an auto. and id have to say it did have its advantages. alot easier to crawl over things than burning the ring out of a clutch! im thinking an auto would be alot easier on the whole driveline to....would that be correct?

i think a two door would be easier..i think a 4 door is only 8cm longer than a two door but i may be wrong...im actually going to use a sheet of aluminium for the part under the window. just rivet it to the frame and do some fibre glassing along the edges...i wanted to keep the original back window ...

thanks for that ppl. mush appreciated! i think this is the route i will follow. i am just sick of breaking diffs. broke 3 in 3 trips and i was being fairly nice to her the last time. ended up with bits of diff spread all over the road and a nice gash in my housing.......
