Re: A/T tyre question

i dont think mickey T's come in 215/75R15 which is what im after as my daily driver. They would be good otherwise and Toyo's open country i have a set of 235's for my sand tyres. They are ok but all reports ive seen toyo's perform the worst and are one of the expensive ones. They aren't strong as 2 ...

cut out your own pieces. you can take out and wash or leave out when you go playing in mud and just have the bare floor there. You can use the car carpet from a foam and rubber shop. It comes in 2m width rolls and you can buy how much legth you need and it $35/meter.

Use your old carpet to trace.

a $1500 vn commodore will be way more comfy that a vit or sierra for those HWY km's. If you want offroad go sierra 100 %. ive owned both. The sierra is more capable AND tougher. Only go a vitara if you want to compromise on road comfort and offroad ability. You will get a car that is ok in both ...

Buy bumpstop spacers from ARB - I don't have the part number but the spacer is an XL-7 front part. Most ARB stores have no idea ARB/OME make it. They work both front and rear and can be stacked. Steve. Steve can u please put up the part number for the bump stop spacers you mentioned above. i ...

i read the 3'' BL part now. i would seriously go against that, even a BL in a vitara at all. u have to lift alot of other things also to suit. even if u do all this work at the end of the day u will still have a mediocre 4x4. if u really want offroad go a sierra and do it properly. they have 4" more ...

i think the calmini kit includes a spacer for the front and rear diffs that drops them back down an inch. so really a 2" lift is similar clearance. calmini is the only one ive heard of that do it properly otherwise just put a 2" lift front and rear with commodore shocks in the rear. they give awsome ...

As you lift it the slip yoke will pull further out of the t-case so by adding a spacer you will push it back in. It is not needed on small lifts like 2". my rear suspension is lifted 60mm. there is vibration coming through the drive terrain at 20-50km/h, more noticible when i accelerate. is this a ...

just so u know fliping the strut mount will give the same amount of travel as an OME strut No, it won't but it will give you more than you have. i could be wrong but i only said that coz when i lay my stock strut and OME strut right next to each other at full extansion, the OME was 2.5cm longer ...

most likely u wont break cv's with that set up unless u have grippy tyres and they grip hard at full front flex. the 25mm coil spacer up front will lift your car up while fliping the strut mount will give u one inch of extra down travel from stock. some of this travel will be used up by the now ...

they are custom 50mm lift coils, they actually lifted the car 60mm but that could be could my old springs were saggy 10mm.

Joe blow, the bump stops on the front are longer than the rears, can i get a pair of fronts and put them in the rear. im assuming they simply screw in?

Bump stop extensions?

1st question: is it illigal to extend your bump stops in Qld?

2nd question: what is the best way to do it. im measuring tommorow but think i need anywhere between 30mm-50mm. (its on rear only)

pics of what people have done would be a big help.

cheers
